ESTO Synthetic Turf Guide for Public Authorities

The European Synthetic Turf Organisation (ESTO) has published a guide to help public authorities in the purchase of synthetic turf systems.

The ‘Public Authority Guide – Procurement on purchasing synthetic turf systems’ provides insight into the benefits of synthetic turf compared to natural grass. The guide also provides an overview of EU legislation and EU directives relating to public procurement, which are important in the choice of synthetic turf. The extent to which ESTO’s members comply with those guidelines is indicated for each subject.

The guide is available in fifteen languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Russian, Czech, Polish and Turkish. All versions can be downloaded from the ESTO website.

ESTO is a not-for-profit organisation based in Brussels. It is dedicated to the development and promotion of synthetic turf and provides a forum for information, the exchange of knowledge, advice and support in this area. ESTO’s members are manufacturers of synthetic turf systems. As a testing institute, ISA Sport is an associated member of ESTO and has been accredited by all international sports federations.
