Special pitch inspections

Pitch inspections in Haiti and Curacao are not an everyday occurrence, even for ISA Sport. ISA Sport inspector Patrick de Keijzer went to both locations to perform pitch inspections in November 2011.

The inspector came across some special local circumstances, especially in Haiti, which was struck by a major earthquake in January 2010. In support of the reconstruction, FIFA selected this location as a FIFA Goal project.

It involves an artificial grass pitch, which is intended to promote football in Haiti. The pitch was constructed by Dutch company EdelGrass and was subsequently inspected by ISA Sport according to FIFA ** standards.

Another FIFA** artificial grass pitch was constructed in Brievengat on Curacao. This one was also inspected by ISA Sport. The pitch is situated in the grounds of the Federashon Futbol Korsou (FFK, the Curacao football association) and is also part of a FIFA Goal project.
